Today Denny's is offering everyone in America a free Grand Slam breakfast from 6am to 2pm. Denny's announced the offer during a commercial break of the recent Super Bowl. One had to wonder, "what's the catch?"
Well, as it turns out... there is no catch (from what I've learned thus far). Today, you can go in and get your free Grand Slam. According to MSN Money Blog, it's estimated that approximately 2 million people will be taking advantage of this offer - 2 million!
What's interesting is that even though this equates to roughly $15,000,000 in actual product giveaway, the potential (and very realistic) gain on orders of drinks (which are not free) could come close to making the product giveaway negligible.
What a great way to use 'free' - any time you can break even on a promotion that is sure to gain major media exposure, go for it!
